How psychology can help
Have you ever sat in a room, been truly open and vulnerable and had someone hold that space for you? Whether you’re feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or just want some guidance, therapy offers a unique space in which we can understand and be understood.

How does my past inform my present?
As much as we might try to avoid it, our past informs our present, and our present informs our future. An understanding of where we’ve come from, our relationships with our caregivers, our early life experiences and how we’ve come to navigate life thus far is all part of our unique context as to where we are today.

What’s happening now?
Ever felt a ‘big feeling’ but been unsure what it’s about, where it’s come from or what to do about the darn thing? Together, we can help you understand what’s going on inside — your thoughts, feelings, memories and triggers. Then, let’s figure out what to do about them.

What’s the plan?
Once we have an understanding of the past and have tuned into what’s happening in the here and now, we’ll develop a treatment plan – individualised and specific to you and your needs. This will link to your goals for therapy, whether it’s working on managing symptoms of complex trauma, substance use, or low mood.

So, now what?
Now… ‘we’ do the work. Therapy can be hard sometimes, and it takes commitment to the process and a good relationship with your psychologist. Whether it’s depression, obsessive-compulsive behaviours or relationship difficulties, we’ll work together collaboratively to address the challenges.
